Éveil spirituel sur la Voie du Bouddha: Exposition de peinture de XIA Jing Shan

The Foundation collaborates with Fo Guang Shan France and organize « Éveil spirituel sur la Voie du Bouddha: Exposition de peinture de XIA Jing Shan. » The exhibition starts from 26th February 2023.
Xia Jing Shan(1923-2019), was praised as a contemporary Buddhist Maestro. Xia had established himself as a prolific traditionalist painter and a genius of many styles. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, U.S.A., Nadja Hansen, to showcase iconic Buddhist painting art of Master Xia under the perspective of blending the East and the West.
In the Sutra the Three Treasuries and the Twelve Divisions, the most important notion is, being enlightened by knowing the mind, accomplishing awakening by realizing the original nature, which is also the value promoted by the exhibition. The exhibition showcases 33 artworks of Master Xia Jing Shan, composed of three themes, Bowing down and seeing the reflect of the moon, The secular world and The transcendent realm. It is expected to express the spirit of Master Xia, self-learning, self-practicing, self-enlightenment, self-awakening and attaining Buddhahood. All the things in the world, good and bad, kindness and viciousness, were depended on our heart. To practice Buddhism and cultivate virtue, we are expected do good deeds and help others.
