Forward-Looking Perspective in Asia-Pacific Art:ART TAIPEI 2023
ART TAIPEI organized by Taiwan Art Gallery Association (Hereinafter as TAGA) will be held at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 from October 20-23, 2023. As one of the landmarks of international contemporary art fair in Asia, ART TAIPEI holds a long history, witnessing the development of art industry and art collections.
Stepping into its 30th anniversary, as the host of Asia Pacific Art Gallery Alliance, ART TAIPEI is dedicated to advance oriental art globally and expand the Asia Pacific platform, as well as to showcase the style of contemporary art in the Asia Pacific region. Sustainability has always been a main theme of ART TAIPEI, and this year, we will incorporate applications with digital warrants, trading of carbon rights and digital twin to emphasize the sustainability in the art industry. The exhibition will also include MIT-Taiwan Young Artists Connection with the World and Indigenous Artist Special Recommendation Exhibition, to show the diversity of Taiwanese Art. In addition, the launch of projects such as Cultural Equality and Public Interests plan and Art Education Day brings different social groups closer to appreciate and experience art.
As for Taiwan, this is the first international art fair after reopening of COVID-19 pandemic. Exceeding the numbers of participants last year, this year there are 145 exhibitors, 77 national art galleries, 68 foreign art galleries, with over 11 countries including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, China (Hong Kong), United Kingdom, Singapore, France, United States, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand will participate in ART TAIPEI 2023, which also has the largest exhibition space in history. ART TAPEI 2023 is committed to create a grand scaled art fair in the post-pandemic era, with a goal of displaying a diverse artwork formed by artists of a vast variety of different culture backgrounds and styles.
