Nousaku-Skill & Creating!

In 1916, Nousaku began manufacturing Buddhist ritual objects, Japanesetea-ceremony utensils and flower vasesmade of brass and bronze in Takaoka, Japan. In addition to such traditionalobjects, we started developing interiorobjects, tableware, artwork, andmedical instruments in the late 1990s to convey the enchantment of castings. Wind chimes beautifully finished by hand and tableware made of 100% tin are achieved by our advanced casting techniques, expert knowledge, tradition and spirit passed downthrough generations over a long period of time. We pursue the perfect harmony of inherited tradition and modern design.

Casting is a manufacturing process in which a liquid metal is poured into a mold. Every Nousaku product starts with making a sand mold and undergoes several finishing processes. Based on the skills, Nousaku selects the most suitable metal and casting method to create products depending on the shape and intended use. As well as respecting and preserving the traditional techniques and history, Nousaku seeks to create products beyond predefined fields to extend the possibility.

Nousaku’s beautiful plate/bowls will decorate daily table as well as in a party scene classy.
